Hospital Outpatient Diagnostic Centers (HOPDs)

HOPDs are usually run by a radiology group or hospital and perform testing for in-house providers. They also perform physician services, such as diagnostic test reading at the location where the diagnostic tests are performed.

Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities (IDTFs)

IDTFs are independently owned and furnish test results to outside providers, such as a primary care physician or other referring physicians.

Insurance benefits may vary depending on the type of diagnostic facility. Please check with your insurance provider when choosing a facility.

Inpatients and emergency patients can receive diagnostic imaging 24 hours a day, seven days a week at our hospitals and Freestanding Emergency Department.
